Every invitation counts: Hey guys, Today we’re spotlighting the eighth and final initiative in our current cancer research portfolio, a project led by Dr. JoAnne Foody, Medical Director, Cardiovascular Wellness Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Utilizing a model proven effective in her heart health research, Dr. Foody wants to connect African American women – who are at a higher risk for lung cancer - with community support, education, and smoking cessation tools in an effort to help them prevent the disease. The effort will pilot a culturally sensitive, holistic cancer prevention and global risk reduction program for those women who want to quit smoking. In addition, it will help them address weight, diet and exercise in conjunction with depression, self-esteem and empowerment. Dr. Foody firmly believes community-based projects have the strong potential to prevent cancer… but before she can get to work, she needs help from OUR community. Please take a look at Dr. Foody’s initiative and consider making a donation. http://links.causes.com/s/clzdZB In good health, Eric Ding Founder, Campaign for Cancer Prevention Website: http://links.causes.com/s/clzdZ0 Facebook: http://links.causes.com/s/clzdZ8 Twitter: http://links.causes.com/s/clzdZc Google+: http://links.causes.com/s/clzdZN We are launching several major cancer prevention initiatives and research projects.
